Scandian Hardwood Flooring
Scandian began by sawing raw wood to make rail road ties in the early days of production, then went on to manufacture high end furniture veneers and prefinished hardwood flooring. With a solid family tradition, the Scandian’s have dedicated themselves to manufacturing wood products since the early 70´s. During this period, they have gained considerable experience in the industry and invested very heavily in state of the art manufacturing technology. Scandian wood flooring products carry an exceptional level of quality and durability achieved through special manufacturing processes with a strict adherence to calibration and precision milling using the latest UV cured finishes. For this purpose, the Laminit manufacturing facility was created in the 80´s, producing laminate and plywood. Then in the 90s, Novopiso was acquired, a manufacturing unit which produces engineered wood flooring. In 2006 the production started on the newest and most modern manufacturing unit: The engineered flooring factory in São José dos Pinhais, in the metropolitan area of Curitiba, PR.
