APC Cork Flooring
APC Cork is one of the leading providers of cork in North America. APC Cork's cork flooring has become very popular with commercial and residential construction. Its popularity can be attributed to the fact that it looks unique, but is an environmentally safe alternative to other flooring products. The cork floors are made of material extracted from the bark of the cork oak tree, which only grows in the forests of Mediterranean countries, in which the largest concentration of cork flooring plantations are found in Spain and Portugal. It is important to note that only the bark is used in the manufacturing of cork flooring, and the harvesting process only occurs every decade. The tree itself is never cut down in the process. The bark is an agglomeration of dead cells filled with air and lined with alternating layers of cellulose and a waxy substance. The bark, which becomes the cork flooring, was designed by Mother Nature to protect the tree during its average 500-year lifespan.

APC's cork floors are inherently fire resistant to temperature changes, resistant to more than 38 species of insects, including the termite, and to the development of microbes. APC Cork's products are warranted to be free from manufacturing defects. Should a defect occur, APC Cork will apply a credit. The 25-year warranty applies to the SIMPLY PUT flooring with the new DWear finish. All other products are covered by APC Cork 10-year warranty. These warranties apply in the continental U.S., Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, and Canada. There are no implied warranties, including warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose beyond the term of the written warranty, with the exception of a separately offered water damage warranty.
