Company Profiles for Anderson

The South Carolina based Anderson Flooring Company has released numerous press announcements in the recent past. For those unfamiliar with the company, the Anderson family has been at the forefront of design and innovation since 1946. In the many years since, they have continued to produce beautiful products, with excellent consistency, and at a price that is unmatched for the quality received.  The company is particularly focused on maintaining its brand’s reputation by rigorously maintaining the quality of its products.  In the news, Anderson Hardwood Floors released three new PermaColor collections at Surfaces in 2009. This new process adds natural shading and color to its hardwood products without stains, chemicals, pigments or solvents. This is accomplished by coloring the entire veneer. This differs from the traditional method in that Anderson does not just color the surface, but the underlying layers for a true through-color.  The new “Anderson Exotic Impressions Classic” is a satin gloss, wide-width, plank available in 7 colors including: Afromosia Brown; Santos Red; Jatoba Sunrise; Shades of Ipe; Teak Effect; Mango Maple; and Tigerwood Birch. Other Anderson collections range in species from woods like oak, pine and pecan, to more exotic species like bamboo. Anderson is also making news because the Greenguard Environmental Institute has certified all of Anderson’s Domestic Hardwood Flooring as low emitting air quality making their products ideal for those folks concerned about environmental toxins. Currently, Anderson is one of two hardwood flooring manufacturers that have passed the high standards of the Greenguard label.
